On 11 January 2018, the European Commission has launched a public consultation concerning the status and trends of pollinators as well as possible measures against the decline of their abundance and diversity. The survey remains open until 5 April 2018.
The consultation is part of the EU Pollinators Initiative, which aims to tackle the decline of pollinators by increasing the effectiveness of EU policies for pollinators and raising the political profile of the issue.
The improvement of knowledge on pollinators, the fight against the root causes of their decline and an improved collaboration and knowledge sharing shall thereby be of particular importance.
All information on the consultation as well as the questionnaire can be found here.
