The European Commission asks stakeholders to take part in a Public Consultation on Building a European Data Economy. The dialogue is intended to shape the future policy agenda on this topic. Its results will feed into the Commission's possible future initiative on the European Data Economy, that might follow the release of the Communication and Staff Working Document on Building a European data economy. Building a European data economy is part of the Digital Single Market Strategy.

On the 3rd and 4th April 2017, the European Commission organizes the first European high-level conference on "Connected and Automated Driving" in Brussels totgether with the EC-funded projects CARTRE and SCOUT. The event will be an opportunity for universities, resesarch centres and various other stakeholders - including the automotive and telecommunication industry - to network and to discuss new developments.
