The Dahlem Research School (DRS) is the Center for Junior Researchers at Freie Universität Berlin – a place of intellectual excitement and world-class research that offers an extraordinary array of disciplines. The aim of DRS is to increase the awareness of the needs of doctoral candidates and postdocs in general and to implement sustainable structures to support them systematically. The two core elements of DRS are a Professional Development Program tailored to researchers at different career stages and a fellowship program for outstanding postdocs.
Since 2011 the Dahlem Research School provides fellowship opportunities for Postdoctorades, which are co-financed by the German Excellence Initiative and the Marie Curie Program of the European Commission. The new DRS Incoming Postdoc Fellowships for highly-qualified postdocs are offered to researchers from all disciplines with a completed doctorate and international research experience. Applicants have to propose a project plan based around the research fields/ key topics of the participating Excellence Projects or Focus Areas. Duration: 18 months.
