News from Oct 05, 2017
Starting October 9, 2017, there will be a new transport service between the FU libraries, that can save a lot of time and effort for users of more than one FU library.
You can now decide at which FU library (except the Philological Library) you would like to pick up a medium for home loan. You can see the possible pick-up locations In the request procedure of the Library Portal Primo.
Reminder ... the order / reservation options are visible in the Bibliotheksportal Primo after the registration and only for media located in closed stacks or media on loan.
All media of the University Library (UB), which can be taken out for home loan, can be ordered to a pick-up location of your choice.
Please note that you have to go to the shelf as usual for short- / week-end borrowing, open stacks or self-loan items. Protected volumes are also excluded from library transport and can only be used in the reading room of the owning library.
The Philological Library does not yet take part as a pick-up location for the media of other FU libraries, for example, a book that is available in the UB can not be ordered into the Philological Library.
The library at the Botanical Garden and the Botanical Museum (BGBM) does not participate in this service at all.
Transport to the library of your choice can take 1-2 opening days. You will be informed by e-mail about the availability and duration of the time waiting to be picked up at the circulation desk.
For more than two years FU media can be returned at all FU circulation desks, except in the library at the Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum (BGBM).
Unfortunately, these services do not exist between the FU libraries and the libraries of the Charité!
