Office for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses

Here you can find all the information you need on studying with disabilities
at the Freie Universität Berlin.

We offer support to students with disabilities as well as prospective students with disabilities and their families, and lecturers and employees in all matters related to studying and accessibility. We are committed to ensuring the equal rights and dignity of our students in line with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Accessibility is a key feature of life on Freie Universität Berlin’s campus in a number of ways.

We offer counseling on a wide array of issues – from submitting a supplementary form for students with special requirements along with your application, to regulations on compensating for disadvantages, to reaching out to other points of contact for assistance. It is needs-based, solution-oriented, and confidential.

Feel free to arrange a consultation with us. You can find our contact details here.
