A one-hour documentary film "Exploring China - A Culinary Adventure" by the British director Emma Peach will be shown on December 1, 2016, at the Confucius Institute at Freie Universität Berlin. Peach accompanied the chefs Ken Hom and Ching He Huang on their journeys through China, filming their culinary discoveries and the accompanying personal stories. The film from 2012 is in English with German subtitles. The event is open to the public.
Ken Hom and Ching He Huang traveled more than 5,000 kilometers through China: first to Beijing and then continuing along the Silk Road to Kashgar and Sichuan Province. They collected recipes along the way and present the viewer with a unique perspective on Chinese cuisine, the people of China, and the country's history.
