Entitled "Four Hands across the Sea," the final concert of this year's composition course of Freie Universität Berlin's Summer and Winter University (FUBiS) will be performed in the New Synagogue in Berlin on July 8, 2015. It will be a premiere performance of duet piano pieces composed by the fourteen graduates of the course. FUBiS is taking place for the 18th time this year. The composition course is headed by the German-American composer and conductor, Samuel Adler, professor emeritus of the Juilliard School in New York. The event is public, and admission is free. Tickets may be reserved through Theresa Schneider at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at +49 30 838-58420. Due to security checks, visitors are asked to arrive early. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Each year FUBiS's six-week composition course offers talented young composers an opportunity to compose their own works and have them performed. The students receive guidance through weekly individual lessons as well as master classes that are held by internationally renowned composers.
