Italian Embassy and Freie Universität Extend Agreement on Center for Italian Studies

The Italian ambassador in Berlin, Antonio Puri Purini, and the president of Freie Universität, Prof. Dr. Dieter Lenzen, signed an extension of the agreement on the Center for Italian Studies, reinforcing the close cultural, scientific, and academic relations between Italy and Freie Universität.

The Center for Italian Studies was established in 1996 through an agreement between the Italian Embassy in Berlin and Freie Universität Berlin. Its purpose is to coordinate teaching and research activiites with themes related to Italy across the various academic disciplines as well as to initiate new projects.

The Center for Italian Studies at Freie Universität Berlin is in a unique position to facilitate cooperation between the universities in Berlin and the University of Potsdam with numerous research institutions and universities in Italy.
