Dahlem International Network Professorship for Gender Studies at Freie Universität Berlin 2016/17

The Dahlem International Network Professorship for Gender Studies is announced annually in the context of Freie Universität Berlin's institutional development strategy funded by the German Excellence Initiative. The Professorship aims to strengthen gender studies within key research focus areas of Freie University Berlin and to promote international and interdisciplinary gender studies research. It contributes to internationalizing research and teaching and, by integrating the visiting professor into an existing research project, also enhances the perspectives of current research at the university.

The International Network Professorship for Gender Studies aims to attract international researchers of outstanding academic achievement in the field of gender studies. Applications for nominations are accepted from professors, heads of gender studies research projects and spokespersons for interdisciplinary collaborative research projects at Freie Universität.

The Professorship commences in the winter semester of 2016/17. For the first time, nominations may apply for a one-semester professorship or a two-semester professorship extending to the summer semester of 2017.

Applications must be submitted to the International Network University Division by April 15, 2016.
