Freie Universität Berlin offers a number of opportunities for the public to participate in campus life and learn about the latest research findings. This is made possible by regular, annual events such as the Long Night of the Sciences and the KinderUni (Children’s University), along with special cooperation projects with partner institutions. Freie Universität Berlin is involved at the regional, national, and international levels in support of dialogue with partners from academia and the research sector, the business sector, society at large, and the political sphere. Through these activities, the university presents Berlin as a forward-looking site of academic and scientific activity. Joint projects at various levels offer knowledge transfer, ensure transparency, focus on current research and its applications, and document the quality of findings.
